*pout*

I want Draco to cast a stain removal charm.  I thought it would be fun if the spell matched up with the name of a popular laundry stain remover in the UK.  Unfortunately, 'Biotex', 'Wizz', and 'Vanish' are all I can find... and none of them strike me as particularly useful.  I mean, vanish makes sense, but that's what 'evanesco' does; Draco would probably die before casting a 'wizz' charm; and 'biotex' would make no sense to a wizard.

'Persil' is a brand of laundry soap, so maybe that would work...?  Or maybe I'll go with a 'borax' charm...

The only bright spot (hah!) in this research was the following (quoted directly):

Vaporesse
An ingenius liquid to make ironing an altogether pleasing experiance in two different scents.

Whee!  Because if I only had perfumed ironing water, ironing would cease to be a chore!

Oh, and the existence of a cleanser called Cillit Bang also amuses me.

"Cillit Bang" sounds very provocative and innuendo like.... i think Borax would work best though- because everyone knows Borax... i think they do at least?

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. =)

Lol, you should try looking up the advert for it on Youtube, it's ridiculous.

'CILLIT BANG! BANG AND THE DIRT IS GONE!'

Went to check my cleaning supplies--sorry hon but the best I can supply is Domestos Spray Bleach! ;) The others are all pretty prosaic, no equivalent of Mr. Clean out here.

No problem -- but thanks for checking! I went with a borax charm. ;)

So, you'd end up with something like, "Persilius Boraxium"? (also, unrelated note, Persil smells fantastic).

For some reason, I keep wanting the whole thing to turn into a Shakespeare reference.. Richard Armour, in his fantastic "Twisted Tales from Shakespeare," states that Lady MacBeth washes her hands with Glee... which he identifies as a well-known Scottish detergent.

LOL. You make me happy, you know that?
