It's driving me nuts.  I'm nervous, though, since it's been ten years since I had it cut short... and hubby always says he likes long hair.  But I have too much of it, and it really is annoying me.  I also think I'm too old for all this hair.  (Let's show off the gray ones, Tae!!)

Plus, the puppies want to eat it, and have uncanny abilities to find elastics I drop or leave on the coffee table, and they think those make marvelous toys.

Going for a short bob -- above my chin.

*crosses fingers*

ETA:  This is not what I did to my hair, nor would I ever be brave enough, even when I was YOUNG enough... but I still think it's cool.  I'd make an icon if I had any use for it:

Short hair is sooo much easier to manage. I bet it will turn out awesomely! :D Have fun!

Thanks! I do like it, and the puppies aren't freaking out (WHO ARE YOU?!), so now I just have to hope the hubby likes it too.

And I love that it's so light! (Why did I ever grow it out...?)

Good luck on the new haircut! I know how hard that can be. My recent one took 16 inches off. O.o

Also, just for note--I had streaks of all those shades. LOL. I also did a bright red--which I liked best and am considering for the tips of my hair. :)

Not sure you can see that. I may have that album locked. If it is then you can have my guest password: hobbins.

Cool! =)

I'm just not brave. I'm ultra-conservative with respect to clothing and hair. ^^;

Oh, I love my longass hair, even though it is predictably hot in summer. I wear topknots pretty often, though, so it usually isn't much of an issue.

I don't think I have the guts to cut it off, not right now. :/

Well, I decided that I hated the way it looked and FELT... so if I got it cut and still hated the way it looked, I'd at least be ahead in the feeling department. ^^;

You haven't cut your hair in ten years? 0_0! I'd have a crink in my neck if I waited that long.

I hope your Hubby likes it.

Hubby likes it, but he thinks he's still partial to long.

And I've had it trimmed and shaped numerous times, but this is the first time any real length came off. It's above my chin, now, and it was past my shoulders before.

I do think that part of the reason I kept getting headaches at the base of my head was because that's where I pulled it back. I'm hoping that'll stop now! ^_^

I think its very brave to cut your hair (i personally keep mine long, but it works for my style/ body type) i hope it looks fantastic and that the hubby will approve! Good luck!

ps: that rainbow bob thing IS cool!

I had hair long enough to sit on until I was twenty. Nowadays it lives between my shoulders and chin. I'm a little nervous whenever I go to get it cut but as soon as it is cut oh man I love it. It's short and easy and NEAT IT LOOKS NEAT IT'S NOT A FRIZZY MESS and I walk on air for days afterwards. I hope your experience involves similar delight. =)

I go from short to long to short to long... I had it cut ABOVE MY EARS in high-school, but by the time I got out of college it was past the middle of my back. Then I got it cut off a few years after I started working -- I was testing software, and periodically I'd have to climb under the tables to reconfigure network cables and that became annoying with a curtain of hair. Grew it out again after that, and kept it just long enough for a ponytail for years.

I really like the way it feels. That I like the look is a bonus =)

Short hair is a nice change once in a while... as long as you aren't in love with your long hair. Beacause then, when its all cut off, you look in the mirror and ask, "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!"
