So... I'm thinking of closing the Akabeko. I haven't updated in YEARS, and the only things I'm still attached to are the fanfic. In trying to tell someone how to find my stuff I realized it's kind of... everywhere.
I'd close Yumi's Journal, too. Maybe just turn the Akabeko into a listing of all my RK stuff, including those "Yumi" wrote (so I'd only have to give one link if someone wanted to read it). Alternatively, I could just get rid of all the sub-directories and make sekihara.dreamhost.com a fanfic archive at the top level. (ponder ponder ponder STIBBONS!)
Thoughts? Also, is there a way to post stuff here without it showing up on my main page? I mean other than using the security settings to hide it? I kind of like the idea of posting at least the NC-17 stuff here on LJ where I can make sure people have to be old enough to read it. I don't, however, like the idea of flooding your flists with stuff that's several years old and you've read already.

Date: 2009-03-10 08:11 pm (UTC)From:You can actually post everything on LJ and sort of keep an archive of things in back logs. Sort of what I did with my stuff? Then you can create filters for people if you don't want your NC-17 stuff accessible to anyone under a certain age, although you have to manually keep up with that stuff.
In order to post a back date, when your setting up the post next to the date and time click edit. This will allow you to change them back as far as you want and just make sure you check the back date box.
Can I help you with anything else?

Date: 2009-03-10 08:16 pm (UTC)From:Thanks so much for the help! And I won't get rid of my fanfiction, I just want to make it easier to answer the question of where it is. Instead of "well, some of it is HERE, and some of it is HERE, and a lot of it is HERE, but not the stuff that's HERE..."
^^;

Date: 2009-03-10 09:07 pm (UTC)From:It's not a cost thing, it's just a convenience thing. I'm really just thinking of getting rid of all the non-fanfic stuff. Like the talking servers (who have said the same things for 5 years now...) and the Out-Drink-Sano and stuff. Links to and awards from sites that don't even exist anymore. It'll just be fanfiction.

Date: 2009-03-10 10:37 pm (UTC)From:Times have changed alot concerning the RK fandom though. FF.net isn't what it used to be with all the new people. I still check Veles's and Aryanne's user page once in a while to see if I missed anything but so far they haven't been active.
Ah I'm rambling... anyways, backposting is hard, I agree. I don't think there's an easy way, but to cut a few seconds you can just skip making an LJ cut and paste it raw.

Date: 2009-03-10 11:27 pm (UTC)From:It finally hit me, as I was backdating the last part of Heart's Ease... it's been ten years since I wrote that! So ten since I wrote it, and at least 5 since I did anything to my sites.
I don't mean to upset anyone, which is why I asked here. I can keep the sites the way they are. I've just got this almost compulsive urge to clean up stuff that hasn't been touched in so long...

Unless, of course, I have the wrong Riah-chan, (but I only knew/know one, and I was writing Aoshi/Misao smut for her) in which case I'm just horribly embarrassed now. ^^;
So, since it's only ten years late: Welcome back! And congrats, as I see from your LJ that you're married.

Date: 2009-03-12 11:27 pm (UTC)From:It's so great reading your guys's work here on LJ and I would assume not so bad for you as the authors because of no restrictions on what you can have here, correct?
It would be great to be able to come here to your LJ and re-read all of your works, cause yeah, I re-read every once in a while too. XD
I can't believe how long it really has been since you've written those stories over at your site! They are SO awesome, along with your new stuff, too! ^.^
Thanks from a passive fan
Date: 2011-02-08 08:17 pm (UTC)From: (Anonymous)I've been a fan of yours for YEARS. Believe me when I tell you that you got me through college. Not financially of course but more importantly, emotionally. I went through a lot of crapanola during that time and if I were a structure being held up by four posts, one being God, another by family then friends...one of those posts would be your fanfics.
I've found other great fanfic authors during the time you've been resting but you're still special. Aside from the fact that you write like my favorite romance novel authors, I lost my NC-17 virginity (if there is such a thing) over your fanfics. LOL
I do go back to your site to reminisce by reading your fics and Yumi's fics, too and just the thought of you taking down the site made me feel a bit melancholy. However, the ending of one chapter heralds a new one as they say and for me, the new chapter is your LJ.
Thanks so much for continuing to write and giving one of the many passive readers like me, something to look forward to read tomorrow.
