I have decided that I spoil you people.  =P  I did the math, and you get a new cloti fic roughly once every 3 days.  (And that doesn't count the Kingdom Hearts drabbles, or the excusions into Zack's sex life, or the Kenshin stuff.)

So why do I feel like I'm unproductive?  O.o

I did friend you last night just so you know. BIG CLOTI FAN and you do them the best. Plus the kids. I love the musings between the kids with Cloud and Tifa. Adorable.

TYVM! And welcome to the fun here on my LJ =)

Because you're an overachiever. And yes, you totally spoil us!! =)

I think you are very much right... and a perfectionist, too... ^^;

Date: 2009-07-06 12:41 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] ashfae.livejournal.com
Oh, definitely! It's why your writing is so excellent, you don't settle for shoddy work. Why do you think we're such fans? =)

Date: 2009-07-06 08:07 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] sekiharatae.livejournal.com
Uh... truthfully? For the same reason I started writing again: I couldn't find the stuff I wanted to read. I mean... I could find *some* (points at memories and favorites on ff.net and her cloti rec list) but not a *lot*. And, it doesn't matter how good a single story is, eventually you want to read a different one, no? Instead of reading the same one over and over and over again?

Date: 2009-07-06 08:31 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] ashfae.livejournal.com
I know. It's why I started writing Harry Potter fic; I got so tired of not finding the story I wanted to read that I wrote it.

Actually I don't think that's the reason I was ever writing Kenshin fic, though; there it was just wanting to play with the characters. =)

Because you write so well that many of us check daily and beg for updates every chance we get (yes I checked twice today)? Not to mention those cliff-hangers...

You're stuck with some spoiled (but grateful and appreciative!) brats I'm afraid.

We are horribly spoiled, aren't we? Would it help if I said I'm very grateful for it, at least? ;)

It's easy to write and write and still feel like you're not being productive. Maybe it's the prompt tables. You write one, but then you finished it, and you still have thirty-eight more, so you have to write another one, but once that one's done, it seems like it's been ages since you wrote it and darn it, you have to update again because you still have thirty-seven prompts left...

...or maybe that's just me?

O_o

LOL. *hugs*

I do think that when I'm done with my prompt tables, I will forgo signing up for anymore and just look to the het meme or my flist (post something saying "prompt me!" and let you all go nuts). Buuuut... I want to try and write something everyday, so when I don't manage that (or don't manage to finish something everyday) I feel like I slacked off/failed.

Except for Wednesday. Wednesday's I forgive myself, 'cause they're not really conducive to writing.

Aww! *hugs*

You know, I'd say I'm not going to sign up for anymore prompt tables, but I don't know if that's true or not. I thought I'd only sign up for one, but then I somehow wound up with three...I think I'm just addicted to them. Or the challenge. Or something. I should start a Writers' Anonymous help group or something. Hello, my name is Laura, I'm addicted to prompt tables.

When Ryke found out I had signed up for my third table, he was just like 'another one?' When I told him the fanfic50 community only has ten prompt tables, he goes, 'So once you use all ten of them, you'll be done?'

LOL at your hubby's reaction. =)

I'm addicted to prompts, but I enjoy them more when they're specific rather than generic. I'm not so creative I guess, and the generic ones tend to stump me. I had to change tables on fanfic50 before I could really get started.

You. Are so overly amazing at what you do, I am quite content at how spoiled I am. Seriously, I've been lurking everywhere for some cloti fics, and I find nothing that compares to yours. Your writing is so natural and so good, I think its okay to have these writing binges and these dry spells.

If you never had some sort of writers' block or periods of unproductivity, it would have been very suspicious indeed. Convenient, yes (ehehe). But suspicious.

I'm not sure what I'm trying to say, but I think its along the lines of... it's okay. You just wrote billions of fics. And I loved all of them. They were like my coming back present from a very un-WiFi-ed Japan.

Awww. *^_^* Thanks!

I really do try to write something everyday. Just, some days don't cooperate.

**strikes defiant pouty face**

I am not spoiled. I will not consider myself spoiled until such time that you post a cloti fic daily, in the meantime I shall consider myself simply overindulged... :P

But no, seriously, I think the reason you feel unproductive, if you are anything like me, (and I get the feeling that surprisingly enough you are--I'm odd, it's rare to find...*ahem*) it's because that no matter how much you actually get written there are still a bajillion-million and one ideas/scenes/new thoughts swirling around in that wonderful head of yours and it's frustrating to not have them all out. And until they are out you feel unaccomplished/unproductive even though you JUST posted something. Am I making any sort of rational sense here?

Probably not.

Anyway, if I haven't done it before, lemme do it now: THANK YOU for all your wonderful stories. They make my day. They really do. <3

Date: 2009-07-06 03:14 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] sekiharatae.livejournal.com
Hmmmm... so if I go through a bout where I post everyday are you spoiled then? =P

I wish there was some way that what I picture in my head could just appear on the page, instead of having to try and figure out how to word it so it makes sense.

And yes, you make sense. There's always something else to work on (prompts, as Qwi pointed out) so I only feel accomplished for brief periods (like for a few hours after I finished my springkink stuff).

And awww, you don't have to thank me. =) (But it is sweet of you!) Thank YOU for feedback and writing your own stuff! which, if you don't mind me saying, I'd love more of

Are you kidding?

You are flipping amazing!! I try my best to check your live journal whenever I'm online. I just dont comment that much (sorry...) I love your stories!!!

I don’t know whether to hug you in comfort or poke you in exasperation. ... *Pokes then hugs*

You have absolutely no right to feel unproductive! >.> And, yes, you do spoil us... and we LOVE you for it.

You're probably the most active cloti fanfic writer on the internet... or at least LJ. Don't feel unproductive... because you aren't. You are very productive. And we are all jealous.
