I feel my word choices are turning repetitive, so I asked Word Perfect to give me a synonym for "caress".

It came back with "canoodle".

Seriously, you silly program?  "canoodle"?

This now joins the (admittedly short) list of words I somehow have to work into a fic.  It's a very short list.  The only other word on it is "crapulent", which means to be completely trashed drunk.  (Oddly enough, I learned that word playing Quiddler.)

I just was a bit surprised that was the first suggestion WP gave me.

Can't really imagine it being used with K&K or Cloud/Tifa though. (giggles insanely imagining Tae or Genzai or someone telling K&K to stop canoodling... or, heck, to start!)

Canoodle is the most ridiculous word ever. I think it's strange that word perfect would equate it with caress... I mean yeah, canoodle means feeling someone up, but that's not EXACTLY caressing!

Hilarious to think about Cloud and Tifa canoodling though. OH MAN. Awkward, rushed, desperate makeout/sex in a closet or something like that?? Could be hot... maybe birthday fic...?

Well, I think it would be fun, but I want it to be something you'd be interested writing (I think it would also come out better that way). So I'll keep throwing out things that strike me until something sticks!

It's not that I'm not interested... I just don't think I could spend a whole lot of time on it. (It'd be a drabblish thing).

It does occur to me, though, that Cid would use this word. Well, Cid would use this word around children and under Shera's watchful eye.

And the person who would be delighted to be accused of Canoodling? Zack.

So I need to figure out a way to have Cid tell Zack to quit canoodling.

And I need to find a way to erase Angeal or Sephiroth saying the same thing from my brain... it's far too cracktastic an idea for Sephiroth to tell Zack to quit canoodling.
