sekiharatae: (Happy Holidays)

... but this year I am having the most horrible luck.  The item I want has sold out.  The book I want to send my brother isn't available on Kindle.  My brain fails to give me anything creative as a possibility.

I wanted to send someone Lions and Liquorice (a twist on Pride and Prejudice) and it's out of print.  (I haven't read it, but it was recommended over Jenna Starborn -- a futuristic retelling of Jane Eyre, which I have.)

*sigh*

*sympathies*

Yeah...all presents this year are pretty much going to be New Year's Presents.

That's partly why I've been so focused in shopping, is in the hopes that I can get everything out before January. I think... I think I'm almost there!

I have... 3 small things and 1 big thing left to get. I know what 2 of those 4 things are, even. Huzzah!

You should just give fic or original stories for xmas!

Though I understand the fun of gift shopping, too :)

Sadly... I tried that last year, and I'm still working on the prompts. *face palm* Like... I haven't finished yours. Or even settled on an idea I like.

Although maybe I'll write you Tangled and pretend that was the original prompt. ;)

You gave me delicious chocolate last year! And I bought you a present that is still in my apartment!!! Please, you owe me nothing.

But any fic of any kind from Tae I will accept without argument :)

I just saw your comment on Ravyn's blog... I have to say that all Toy Story kink doesn't make any sense to me. Do they even have genitalia??? And why are people so obsessed with the Stabbington brothers? I think you and I should join the fill-a-thon in January and fill the F/R prompts, split them down the middle!

Also, thanks for the ff.net review - I don't know if you noticed, but I also changed all but two instances of Flynn to Eugene, because I think you're right.

Also, is it still true that you are not on any kind of instant messaging program? I pine for chats/squees/late night writing avec vous.

LOL. I don't think too much about things I feel should be pairing free (like Toy Story). I know if I ponder it too long I'll get grossed out or frustrated or scared or something. ^^;

I did notice you changed it, and I thought it read beautifully. I'm very glad I was of help. =) *HUGS* I also saw you got a review from the author of What You Don't Know. ^___^

I still don't use an IM program. Even moreso now than before, since I got a new comp and don't have any of them installed on it. Sorry. =(

I found Lions and Licorice (http://www.alibris.com/booksearch?qwork=3961782&matches=30&keyword=lions+and+licorice&cm_sp=works*listing*title)... on alibris.com, which is made of win and awesome for out of print books. Used to buy old Dungeons and Dragons books from them, never had any problems. Books listed as "good" usually have smoothed out page edges, but no bent spines or anything terrible. At least that's maybe one gift you can actually get?

That's so sweet of you! *HUGS* Thanks!

Hey, no problem. ^_^ 12 seconds of internet search is literally the least I can do, hehe

Don't know if anyone else did a search on it, but you can find a couple of Buy Now on Ebay. =)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=377&item=330503355189

(Cause I suck at links...)

Anyway, usually if its not around on the usual sights, try half.com. It's linked to Ebay, so it will usually show you if its on Ebay but not Half.com. =)
