Based on the type of Dissidia fic I've seen, I can really only think of one reason.
And I suspect your mind has already gone there, too. Poor baby!Squall having to pay for the naughty things adult!Squall has been up to.
It's probably safer to think he landed on his tushy when he turned into a baby.
