I know I've been promising Fidelity smut, and I have been writing in my Fidelity-verse off and on all week.  I now have about 6 pages, most of which I'm... fairly okay with.  

However, there is no smut.  Cloud and Tifa said they had things they wanted to do and talk about first.  Cloud is trying very very hard to be a considerate man.  (Harder than he really needs to, but he's been taught that you don't scromp like bunnies on the first date... which they have yet to enjoy.)  Tifa's really just set on getting more snuggle and kissy-face time.

Understandably, it's taking some time to get to the smut.

Chapter 3 of Fidelity with therefore, most likely, not have smut. 

If Chapter 3 has smut, it will be a chapter that is available in two-flavors (T for Teen and M for Sex).  If the smut is at least 1000 words, though, it will probably be separate and labeled as chapter 4.

And it'll still be awhile before it's ready.

as much as we all enjoy smut - there is something to be said for realism. I'm guess but it would seem this is the first time for Tifa and most likely for Cloud - unless we count computer graphics (he's probably the first guy to ever have to INcrease the chest size of his virtual girl once he's met the real thing - not that the virtual girl is going to be seeing him much anymore, I'm thinking). Personal opinion only but, as ready as they both are and as sure as they both are about things, snuggling, etc. would make sense coming first and adds to the sweetness of their relationship and the way they (and Cloud in particular) cherish each other. ;) Seduce us slow, Tae. Dude, I can wait for the smut!!!!! Because its better that way. Rush smut is not so good. Never feel guilty because the muse has highjacked itself. It is something that happens all the time! (And Cloud can be stubborn!!!)

LOL. I don't think this story has much plot, but... this version of Cloud and Tifa, being younger and unscarred (so far) by Shin-RA, want it to be very clear that they're deeply and truly in love before they sex each other up. They want me to be sure and illustrate that. They also want it pointed out that they're teenagers, so they act younger. And Cloud doesn't brood (much).

They're very insistent characters...

Take your time on the chapter. Better to take time to get the chapter right than to put it out and have it not ready.

Hello, Tae, You did not invite feed back, but I've just come home from an intense emotional retreat kind of thingy (wherein this very subject came up, so to speak), and the subject of smut is too entrancing to pass up. I love smut, and I love the way you write it, and one of the miracles of life is that I discovered fan fiction and all it's variety,and I love Cloud and Tifa and get all tingly at their loving each other. But, if Tifa says she needs more snuggles and kissy-face time, and Cloud's of a mind to follow her lead on this (because he is really thoughtful that way), I say a chapter of tender touches, soft kisses, and cuddling is fine. And then the next chapter can blow our sox off and make our eyeballs roll. Hope you don't mind comments over the fence from a neighbor who won't stay away..... mom calling
