I was in my car, driving to my appt and pondering... and all the sudden Tomoe-as-evil-soul-mate-stealing-witch popped into my head. Which further explained Enishi's evilness, too. That's a win-win, I thought, so I had to go with it. =)
In my head, the first Misao heard that things had worked out was when Kaoru shows up to complain. =) Of course she's delighted.
I had other ideas that just didn't work out... at one point I had Kenshin following Kaoru around, and only Misao (being a medium) can see him. So the whole time Kaoru is complaining and Misao is being unsympathetic, she's actually sort of sharing a laugh with Kenshin. (i.e. he was right there and laughing when she called him a sex fiend) But it was getting complicated, thinking about all the changes, and didn't really add much, so I decided to leave that out.
I'm babbling. Sorry sorry sorry!
