I also love Cloud's half-closed eyes, and I like how the words you chose to italicize really do make him sound tipsy and happy. I like his wording... that her legs went on "forever." I like that Cloud seems to have a personality when he's drunk, and it's a personality I find really endearing.
I also want to know what his first thought was, at the end! I have a few guesses...
