I've decided to wear blinders...

Everytime I read the news or take the time to check out current events I get angry/annoyed/upset.  It's not good for me.  Especially if I end up posting my (angry/annoyed/upset) thoughts on said event -- then I feel better for venting, but worried that I'll have upset someone I care about.

In the long run it's not worth it.

I'm gonna go back to ignoring everything.

I switched to getting all my news from comedy podcasts, like NPR's "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me!" and the BBC's News Quiz. Awesome. I'm too busy laughing to get irate. =)

*hugs of sympathy*

Sometimes the world is so mesmerizingly stupid that you can't help but fly into a psychotic rage. Daily occurrence for me, really. Feel free to hit me up if you need an ear that's nearly guaranteed to share your annoyance.

Never apologize for ranting/venting. That's one of the many valuable things that an LJ is for! You can always make the post 'private' if you want to get something off your chest that might be controversial, then unlock it (or not) once you've cooled down.

In other news, I saw these (http://www.jbox.com/product/YYN657) this morning and had a very bad case of the OMG!Wants strike. How 'bout you?
