Summary:  This is the pirate fic I promised ashfae a few months ago.  Rather than descending into silliness and crackfic, I've tried to determine a plausible reason why Tifa would become a pirate.  I found inspiration in the life of Jeanne de Clisson, the Lioness of Brittany -- a French woman who turned to piracy as a mode of revenge.  Hopefully, it works.  It certainly ended up being far longer than I expected.
ETA:  I've changed the title from 'Probacy' to "Steady Navigation'.  'Probacy' made some sort of sense to me in the wee hours of the morning, but I like this better, and it's probably more apparent to you, the reader, why I chose it.
