I hope that you do get inspired to continue, not least because, well, Tifa is stuck being tiny! Tiny and being dressed up by Marlene-- or at least having Marlene making suggestions and gooby eyes while holding up pouffy sparkly dresses.
I am not sure I can see Cloud taking the time to shrink himself JUST to give Tifa a hug, but that's mostly because I see him in full research/fix it! focus mode. He might shrink himself if they thought that Tifa had gotten lost (which would also freak Yuffie out nicely, and everybody else if they thought that Tifa had vanished or that she was still shrinking....), or if there was a bitty-monster threatening her (well, something that would at least be a monster when Tifa is Barbie-sized). I mean, normal-sized Cloud attempting to take care of a mini-monster in the bar while not destroying the bar; I don't think that that would work so well. Although it might be funny ("CLOUD STRIFE, DON'T YOU DARE WRECK THOSE BOTTLES!").
Also, I can't wait to see what they make Yuffie do as penance. Hee.
