That wasn't at all what I was expecting her to have a problem with in terms of overwrought romance novel prose. I love the way Cloud expects that she's having a different reaction, and then goes straight to _smug_. Smug and informative.

Also... now I'm wondering how on earth a Shin-Ra pamphlet would even start to cover that, er, particular aspect of being in SOLDIER. Especially if it was a _recruitment_ pamphlet, where the goal (one assumes) would be to make being in SOLDIER sound extra-extra shiny and worthwhile....
